Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
YVE is a location play. 146 Biscayne Boulevard puts you on foot to Bayside Marketplace, Bayfront Park, the Kaseya Center and the PortMiami cruise terminals, which is why most guests book one night here before a ship. Guests consistently rate the location and the staff highest, while rating the property overall lower, and that spread is the whole story. Reviewers name front-desk and security staff individually. The 16-floor tower those people work in often runs on one working elevator, and that bites hardest on cruise morning when the building checks out at once with luggage. Rooms read dated: stained carpets, worn furniture, noisy AC with poor temperature control, long waits for hot water, and housekeeping that misses often enough to matter. The charge to watch is a post-checkout smoking fee of roughly $500 to $595, triggered by an automated in-room air sensor. Non-smoking guests report it landing days or weeks after they flew home, with the hotel treating the sensor reading as final. Those reports come up often enough in guest feedback to take seriously. Photograph the room at check-in and watch your statement for a few weeks. Fee math the nightly rate hides: the $28.25 amenities fee plus $55 overnight valet adds $83.25 a night. Valet is the only option published. Pack light for two nights and it works. Bring heavy bags or want a polished room and it won't.

Does YVE Hotel Miami have a resort fee?
Yes, $28.25 a night. The hotel calls it an amenities fee and states it includes tax. It covers Wi-Fi, unlimited local and long-distance calls to the continental US and Caribbean, a coffee and tea maker, two 16 fl oz bottles of water a day, the fitness center, and 10% off food and drink at the Hard Rock Cafe Downtown Miami.
How much is parking at YVE Hotel Miami?
$55 for overnight valet. Valet is the only option: the hotel publishes no self-parking rate, and its accessibility page lists accessible parking as valet only. No day or hourly rate is published anywhere on the hotel's site, so ask at the desk if you need one.
Can you walk to the cruise port from YVE Hotel Miami?
Yes, and it's the single most common reason people book here. Guests walk to the PortMiami terminals rather than pay for a taxi. Bayside Marketplace, Bayfront Park and the Kaseya Center are on foot too.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. The hotel says early arrival and late departure depend on availability and that extra charges may apply, so confirm before you count on either.
What is the smoking fee at YVE Hotel Miami?
Guests report roughly $500 to $595, billed after checkout when an automated in-room air-quality sensor flags the room. Multiple reviewers who don't smoke say it hit their card days or weeks after they left and that the hotel wouldn't reverse it; one counted 14 similar reports. Photograph the room at check-in, get charges in writing at checkout, and watch your statement.
Is YVE Hotel Miami worth it?
For one or two nights around a cruise, yes, if you pack light. You're paying for a location that scores 9.0 while the rooms and elevators score much lower, and $83.25 a night in amenities fee plus valet on top of the rate. For a polished room or dependable elevators with heavy bags, spend elsewhere.
