The suites here are apartments, and that is the whole case for the place. Every unit runs 475 to 1,174 square feet with Yabu Pushelberg interiors, a kitchenette with a dishwasher, Alessi china and a Lavazza machine, and a washer and dryer tucked into the cabinetry. Guests keep calling the rooms huge, and the location draws some of the most consistent praise in the reviews. Two things go wrong repeatedly. Sleep is the first: noise is common enough in the feedback that guests regularly advise packing earplugs. Upkeep is the second, and it is current. Reviews from the past four months describe peeling wallpaper, stained furniture, a balcony dirty enough to blacken bare feet and a toilet that failed on arrival, and management replies confirm guest-room and technology work is still underway. Value for money is consistently the weakest part of the feedback. The overall picture flatters the property a little too, since some of the most glowing entries turn out to be for the on-site med spa rather than an overnight stay. Then the math the rate hides: a $40 a night destination fee plus tax and valet-only parking at $50 a day plus tax, about $90 a night before the 13 percent lodging tax, plus a $250 per day hold on your card. Best for groups and longer stays who will use the kitchen and the laundry. Light sleepers should ask for a high floor away from the pool deck.

805 S Miami Avenue, in the middle of Brickell, with the Eighth Street Metromover stop 750 feet away, Brickell Metrorail about 1,350 feet, and Brickell City Centre a two-minute walk. The location is what guests single out most about staying here. It is a busy, loud corner, which is the flip side of that convenience. One booking note: the tower also holds private residences, and third-party operators list units inside the same building under similar names elsewhere online, so confirm you are booking the hotel itself and not an apartment upstairs.

Does SLS LUX Brickell charge a resort fee?

Yes, $40 per night plus tax, billed as a daily destination fee. The hotel's own FAQ says it covers Wi-Fi throughout the property, fitness center access, and the in-suite kitchenette: microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, Alessi china and flatware, and a Lavazza coffee machine with coffee amenities. Check your own confirmation, though. Another listing for the hotel shows $45 a night bundled into the rate and a different inclusion list that adds house car drop-off within two miles plus spa and steam room access. The two lists do not match, so ask the desk to itemize yours at check-in. The hotel says the fee is charged per stay per night and does not state a per-person component.

How much is parking at SLS LUX Brickell?

$50 a day plus tax, valet only. The hotel publishes no self-park option and no separate day-use rate, so it is one flat daily charge whether you move the car or not, and it does not say whether that is per vehicle or per room. Parking is also one of the sorest points for guests here. Three nights adds $150 before tax.

Is SLS LUX Brickell noisy?

Often, yes. Guests describe street noise and music carrying up from below on a busy Brickell corner, and sleep is one of the more common complaints. It is not universal: some guests find the soundproofing handles it well. If you sleep lightly, ask for a high floor away from the rooftop pool deck.

There is no beach at the hotel. It sits at 805 S Miami Avenue in Brickell, on the mainland, and Miami Beach is about 6 miles away across a causeway, so budget a rideshare each way. What stands in for it is a 75-foot lap pool on the ninth-floor rooftop, open sunrise to sunset only, with cabanas on a first-come basis. For everything downtown, the Eighth Street Metromover stop is 750 feet from the door, which is how you skip the $50 valet.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Late check-out is not guaranteed, and one guest reported being told an extension would be billed as a half day, so ask at the desk rather than assuming. Budget for the card hold too: the hotel authorizes $250 per day for incidentals, so a three-night stay ties up $750 on your available balance until after you leave. Cribs and rollaway beds are $45 a day, subject to availability.

Is SLS LUX Brickell worth it?

It depends on whether you will use the suite. If you want an apartment-sized room with a dishwasher, a washer and dryer, and Brickell City Centre two minutes away, that is what guests rate highest about staying here.
