Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Big rooms are the reason to book this one, and inconsistent service is the reason for the harshest reviews. It opened in March 2021 in a dual-brand tower shared with Atwell Suites, so nothing here is a tired conversion: standard rooms run 355 to 368 square feet, and reviewers consistently lead with spacious rooms, staff and location. The feedback splits from there, with location praised far more consistently than the elevators or the service. Front desk is both the most frequently praised part of the stay and the first thing frustrated reviewers name, usually by shift. The recurring complaints cluster tightly: hot water and shower pressure, hallway and connecting-room noise that management's own replies admit they are reviewing insulation for, hours-long waits when you arrive before the 4 PM check-in, and slow release of the card hold after checkout. Fees are where it wins. The operator states plainly that it charges no resort, amenity or destination fee. Parking is the offset: valet only, and IHG publishes two rates for it, $45 a night on the parking page and FAQ, $40 on the amenities page. Three nights costs $120 to $135 before tax. Right for a Brickell business trip or a pre-cruise night if you want space. Wrong if you need a reliably hot shower.

Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell FAQ

Does Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell charge a resort fee?

No. IHG says on the hotel's own detail page that it does not charge additional amenity or resort fees, and no destination fee appears on its amenities, rooms or parking pages either. Parking and pets are the only property-added costs you need to plan for.

How much is parking at Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell?

Valet only, at either $40 or $45 a night depending on which IHG page you read. The parking and transportation page and the hotel FAQ both say $45; the amenities page says $40. Neither states whether tax is included, and no self-park option is published anywhere on the operator site. Three nights runs $120 to $135 before tax, so confirm the rate when you hand over the keys. It's a covered garage with in-and-out privileges for the length of your stay.

Can I bring my dog to Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell?

Yes, dogs only, up to 40 pounds, and it costs more than the room math suggests. The fee is $150 per night, plus a separate $150 damage deposit the hotel describes as non-refundable. Dogs must be crated when left alone in the room. Two nights with a dog adds $450 before tax.

What time is check-in and check-out?

4:00 PM in, 11:00 AM out, and the minimum check-in age is 21. Several reviewers describe long waits when they turned up well before four, including one who waited hours on a busy morning, so if you land early, plan on dropping bags and coming back.

How far is Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell from South Beach?

About 7 miles, which means a drive or a rideshare across a causeway. This is a Brickell financial-district hotel, not a beach one. A Metro station is a five-minute walk, Brickell City Centre is within about ten minutes on foot, and Vizcaya is 2 miles south. Guests also use it as a pre-cruise night.

Is Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell worth it?

Yes if you want space and a clean fee sheet in Brickell, no if you need everything to work. Standard rooms start at 355 square feet, there is no resort fee, and the pool, the gym and the Mosaico Kitchen + Bar downstairs all rate well. The gamble is service and maintenance: hot water and water pressure, hallway and connecting-room noise, and slow release of the card hold after checkout come up repeatedly in low-star reviews, and Kayak's summary scores service 1.5 out of 10 against location 10 out of 10. Better as a night or two than a week.
