The in-room kitchen is what you are actually buying, and it changes the math on a Miami stay. Element shares 115 SW 8th Street with the AC Hotel Miami Brickell, so a suite with an induction cooktop, dishwasher, fridge and laundry comes attached to a sixth-floor rooftop pool, a pool bar and the AC's restaurant and lounge. Two patterns run the other way. The complimentary Rise breakfast drew praise as a premium buffet in 2025; reviews through 2026 describe one rotating hot item, limited seating, no takeaway to the room, and a hard 10:00 am stop with staff clearing before the hour. Guest feedback echoes that shift, rating dining and value for money well below the location. Arrival is the second. The lobby sits on the sixth floor, drivers miss the entrance, and two steps at the door have no luggage ramp. Check-in holds at 4:00 pm, and refused early requests turn up repeatedly in guest complaints. Then the parking. Self-park and valet both run $55.00 a day, oversized valet $61.00, and reviewers report no street option nearby, so three nights in a car adds $165 before tax. Marriott publishes no nightly fee now, though 2025 guests described a $30 destination fee and a manager's reply confirmed one existed. Right for long stays, families who want to cook, and cruise passengers who need a base twenty minutes from PortMiami.

Reviewers describe a short walk to the Metromover, plus a grocery store, a mall and a run of restaurants within a few blocks, and they call the block quiet at night. That same elevated guideway and nearby construction are what some guests say they hear from the sixth-floor pool deck. Miami Beach is a rideshare across a causeway rather than a walk.

Does Element Miami Brickell charge a resort fee?

Marriott doesn't publish one. Nothing on the operator's overview page lists a resort, amenity, destination or facility fee, including the parking and payments panels. Guests in 2025 did report a $30 destination fee, and a general manager's reply on Marriott's own review page referred to "items covered by our destination fee," so it existed then. No review in the past year mentions it. A blank is not a promise, so ask for the charges itemized at check-in.

How much is parking at Element Miami Brickell?

$55.00 a day, whether you self-park on site or hand it to valet. Oversized vehicles pay $61.00 a day for valet, and there are EV charging stations. Marriott publishes a single flat per-day rate for each and doesn't say whether tax is included, or whether the charge is per room or per vehicle. Reviewers say there's no street parking nearby, so treat it as fixed if you drive. Three nights is $165 before tax.

Is the free breakfast worth planning around?

It's included, and it's thinner than it used to be. The Rise buffet was once described as premium and well curated, with gluten-free options and daily hot specials. Lately the recurring description is one rotating hot item, limited seating, and no taking a plate back to your room. Service stops at 10:00 am, and staff have been known to start clearing the buffet before the hour.

Can I check in early?

Usually not. Check-in is 4:00 pm and check-out is 11:00 am, and a refused early check-in is one of the most repeated complaints in the one-star reviews, including from Bonvoy members who flagged an arrival time in the app first. The minimum age to check in is 21. If you land in the morning or step off a cruise, plan on storing bags and using the pool deck until four.

How far is Element Miami Brickell from the cruise port?

About 20 minutes by car, according to guests who use it as a pre-cruise base, and there's no hotel shuttle. The address is 115 SW 8th Street in Brickell, on the downtown mainland, so PortMiami is a short rideshare over the Port Boulevard bridge. The complimentary house car covers a 2-mile radius, which doesn't reach the terminals.

Is Element Miami Brickell worth it?

Yes if you'll use the kitchen. A suite with an induction cooktop, dishwasher and laundry, plus a rooftop pool and the AC Hotel's restaurant and lounge in the same tower, is a different product from a Brickell room with a mini fridge. Two things to weigh. Guests in late 2025 reported two of four elevators down for days, waits over ten minutes, and elevator noise carrying into rooms at the end of the hall. Reviewers also mention nearby construction and an elevated transit guideway that carry onto the pool deck. Ask for a room away from the elevator bank.
