Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
The elevators are what reviewers remember, which is an odd fate for a hotel whose whole pitch is location. AC Hotel Miami Brickell sits steps from Brickell City Centre and close to Metromover and Metrorail, and location is consistently the most-praised part of the stay, well ahead of everything else. The complaints are consistent across every source. Guests report elevators out of service, one counting 2 of 4 down, waits stretching to 15 minutes, and elevator noise after dark. Street noise comes up repeatedly, and the $25 breakfast buffet appears in separate reviews as lukewarm with cold coffee. Value for money is the weakest point overall, and the staff are the counterweight, thanked by name even inside otherwise critical reviews. Now the money. No resort or destination fee is published here, which is worth real money in a city where EAST Miami, a few blocks away, charges $54 a night. Parking hands it back: $55.00 a day, with self-park priced identically to valet, so there is no cheaper option on site. Three nights with a car is $165 before tax, $183 for an oversized vehicle. Book it if you're arriving without a car and want Brickell on foot. Skip it if you're a light sleeper, or if a slow elevator on a high floor would wreck your morning.

Open in Maps →115 SW 8th Street, in the middle of Brickell and steps from Brickell City Centre, with Metromover and Metrorail close enough that arriving without a car is realistic. Restaurants and bars fill the surrounding blocks, which is the same reason street noise turns up in reviews. Miami Beach is a causeway drive rather than a walk, and PortMiami is close enough that pre-cruise guests use the hotel as a launch pad, several of them saying so in reviews.

Does AC Hotel Miami Brickell charge a resort fee?
No published one. Marriott lists no resort or destination fee anywhere on this hotel's overview, rooms or FAQ pages, unlike Miami properties that do carry one and show it as a line item. Worth knowing: one recent guest review on Marriott's own site reports being told at check-in about a $35 a day "location fee" despite having prepaid, and the hotel's published reply apologised for the communication around additional fees. The operator does not publish such a charge, so confirm your folio when you check in.
How much is parking at AC Hotel Miami Brickell?
$55.00 a day, and self-park costs exactly what valet costs, so there is no cheaper on-site choice. Oversized vehicles are $61.00 a day for valet. Three nights runs $165 before tax, $183 oversized. Marriott does not state whether the rate is per room or per vehicle, or whether tax is included, so ask at the desk. EV charging stations are on site subject to availability, with no rate published. Parking is the most repeated value complaint in guest reviews, and the hotel's own responses call it something they continue to review.
Can I bring a dog to AC Hotel Miami Brickell?
Yes, one pet per room, up to 35 lbs, for a non-refundable $50.00 per night. Three nights with a dog adds $150 on top of the room and any parking. Marriott publishes no breed restriction for this property.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. The minimum age to check in is 21, which is stricter than the usual 18 and matters if a younger member of your group is holding the reservation. Guests report check-in lines running busy at peak arrival hours.
Is AC Hotel Miami Brickell noisy?
It can be, and it depends on the room. Street noise is the most common sleep complaint, with one guest saying it kept them awake until 2 AM and calling the rooms not soundproof enough. A guest on the 21st floor reported a bar on the floor above and said the front desk should have warned them. Elevator noise at night comes up separately, and an older review flagged loud in-room air conditioners. Ask for a room off the street side and away from the top floors.
Is AC Hotel Miami Brickell worth it?
Yes if you're arriving without a car and want to walk Brickell. Location is what guests single out most about the place, and skipping a Miami resort fee saves what neighbours like EAST Miami charge at $54 a night. The catch is the building: guests report elevators out of service, long waits and noise, and value for money is the weakest part of the stay. Add $55.00 a day if you drive, which erases most of the fee advantage.
