A 1939 Art Deco landmark on the loudest block of Ocean Drive, reopened in 2019 after a roughly $15 million restoration by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Nearly everything guests praise and complain about traces back to that address. Guests are consistently positive about the location and how clean the property is kept, and the sand sits directly across the street. They are far more mixed on room size, service and value, and that split is the pattern worth knowing: reviewers who name a front-desk person by name sit right next to reviewers describing indifference, so the stay you get leans on who is working that shift. Street noise is the other repeat theme, and a pre-war building on a strip that stays loud past midnight was never going to win that fight. The room list separates Ocean View from Courtyard, so quiet costs you the view. Then the math the nightly rate hides: the $35 amenity fee is quoted plus tax and bills closer to $40, and valet at $45 a day is the only parking the hotel sells, so you are near $85 a night before you have a room. Three nights adds about $255. The fee does return something usable: wifi, two beach chairs a day, coffee on the guestroom floors and free beach cruiser rentals. Good for couples who want a Deco room steps from the water and will walk to the public garage the hotel's own FAQ points to, half a block away.

1300 Ocean Drive at 13th Street, in the middle of the Art Deco district's main strip. The beach is directly across the street with Lummus Park running the length of the block, and Española Way, the Wolfsonian and Lincoln Road are all short walks north or west. It's also one of the noisiest addresses in Miami Beach after dark, with traffic and bar noise carrying up into the street-facing rooms, which is the tradeoff for having the sand and the strip both at the front door.

Is there parking, and what does it cost?

Valet only, $45 per day with 24-hour service. The hotel publishes no self-park option and no separate day rate, so treat it as fixed if you drive. Its own FAQ points to a public parking garage half a block away as the alternative, and that one is a city facility priced by the city, not by the hotel.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in starts after 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Bags can be stored before check-in and after check-out. You also need to be 21 or older to reserve a room, and the hotel authorizes $150 a day for incidentals and does not take cash.

How far is the beach?

Across the street. The hotel sits at 1300 Ocean Drive with Lummus Park and the sand directly opposite, and the amenity fee already includes two beach chairs a day, so your setup on the sand is paid for before you arrive.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs only, up to two per room and 50 lbs combined. The fee is $150 per pet per stay rather than per night. Dogs stay leashed in the hotel, can't be left alone in the room and aren't allowed in the food and beverage outlets. Tell the front office or reservations in advance so they can put you in a pet room, and note a second $150 charge applies if there are noise complaints about barking.

Is it worth booking last minute?

Yes if you want a Deco room on Ocean Drive and can sleep through a loud street. Guests consistently praise the location and how clean it's kept, but room size and service are the recurring complaints, along with street noise, in a 1939 building on the strip. Budget about $85 a night in amenity fee and valet on top of the rate, and ask for a courtyard room if you're a light sleeper.
