Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
You're buying the spectacle, and the dinner comes along for the ride. The stage is a full-size replica of an 18th-century Spanish galleon floating in an indoor lagoon, and the roughly 1.5 to 2 hour show runs on sword fights, aerial acrobatics, an original score, and cannon and pyro effects. Around 100 or more people get pulled into the action each night, so this is participatory by design. Your ticket covers a multi-course dinner (usually 3 to 4 courses) plus unlimited soft drinks. Here's the trade: the food is banquet-style and average, rotisserie chicken and sides, clearly secondary to what's happening on the water. Alcohol isn't included, it's a separate cash bar, and you'll get worked fairly hard on photos, grog, and souvenirs before the show and at intermission. Seating is assigned by pirate color team, so you don't pick your seat or your view, and the room stays loud and high-energy with organized team cheering. It sits on International Drive near the convention center, which makes it a solid weather-proof evening when the parks get rained out or you just want a night off. Best for families with kids, groups, and celebrations, plus anyone who wants a dinner where they end up onstage.

Is the food actually good at Pirates Dinner Adventure?
It's average banquet fare, rotisserie chicken and sides, and clearly the secondary attraction. The show is what your ticket really buys. Unlimited soft drinks are included; alcohol is a separate cash bar.
Can you choose your seats?
No. Seating is assigned by pirate color team, and that team also sets which crew you cheer for during the show. You don't pick your seat or your view.
Is it good for young kids?
Yes. It's loud, high-energy, and built on audience participation, with roughly 100 or more people pulled into the action nightly. Families with kids are the core audience. If you want a quiet dinner, look elsewhere.
