Pick a 30-minute or 60-minute run; a licensed captain narrates, and every airboat ticket includes free admission to Wild Florida's Gator Park, home to 200-plus animals. Airboats leave roughly hourly, about 9am to 4:30pm, Monday through Saturday, and your ticket is open-dated, so you reserve a departure time in advance. Want a full day? Add a drive-thru safari or lunch. The catch is the address: it says "Orlando" but you're driving about 45 to 60 minutes south to rural Kenansville, so you need a car and should block out a half-day round trip. Reviews run mixed, and the 30-minute ride feels short to some, so the 60-minute option is the safer pick if you want your money's worth. In late-July peak summer, expect brutal heat and humidity, biting bugs out on the water, and afternoon thunderstorms that can delay or cancel departures (weather cancellations get rescheduled or refunded).
