Each room at the Embassy Suites, 1250 22nd St NW, is a two-room suite, with a door between the bedroom and the living area. Self-parking is $70 on Hilton's page, more than at any other hotel here that publishes a self-parking price, and $210 over three nights. Hilton's screen for November 17 said the price includes a $25 mandatory charge per night and excludes taxes and government charges, so the 15.95% room tax applies to a price that has the $25 in it. Breakfast is free and made to order, and it gets crowded at peak hours. There is an indoor pool. The walk to Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro is 10 minutes, the longest in the area, shared with Eurostars. Some rooms struggle with temperature control, and one guest found the heat would not come on. Bringing a pet adds $75, non-refundable. Points redemptions for suites cost a lot, so a cash rate is usually the better deal.
