Le Méridien occupies the Melrose Building, and the reviews read like a building that needs more upkeep than it gets. Bathroom cleanliness and maintenance come up, along with slow check-in and slow restaurant service, and one review from 2023 called the hotel run-down. The draw is upstairs at Z on 23, the rooftop bar. The convention center takes 11 minutes on foot, and a Metro rail station is a block away, per a Marriott listing. No fee line appeared on Marriott's screen. Marriott's page lists valet only, at $59 a day, so a car adds $59 a day to whatever rate you find. None of the sources we read mentions a pool, though there is a fitness center and room service. Check-in is from 3 PM for guests 21 and over, and check-out is at 11 AM. One pet up to 40 pounds can stay in each room for a $50 fee, and Marriott's listings disagree on whether that is per stay or per day.
