Parking at the JW Marriott costs more than at any other hotel around the Galleria that publishes a price: $37 a day to self-park and $69 for valet. Every rate already includes a $25 Destination Fee, so parking lands on top of the price you see. Fee and self-parking come to $62 a night. With valet it's $94, before any tax, and Marriott's page says nothing about tax on either parking rate. The booking screen doesn't say whether Houston's 17 percent hotel tax applies to the fee, either. Check-in is 3 PM, and pets aren't allowed. For that you get a 516-room tower with an outdoor pool, 8 minutes on foot from the mall. Noise is the complaint that keeps coming back: mostly elevator clunking in rooms beside the elevators, and some from rooms under the lounge. Many of those reports predate the renovation that finished in 2023, which makes them hard to weigh, but asking for a room away from both costs nothing.
