A 0.70 percent mandatory charge is the only fee on the DoubleTree's booking screen, about 70 cents for every $100 of the stay. Hilton shows it already inside the price, with taxes and government charges extra, and Houston's hotel tax is 17 percent. Parking costs far more. Self-parking is $32 a day and valet $46, per Hilton's hotel-info page, so three nights of self-parking adds $96 before any tax. Reviewers call the parking cost steep for what the hotel is. The building reads as tired in reviews, with dated rooms and some broken furniture, though some call the suites roomy. Staff get warm words, a night clerk and a helpful valet among them. You can walk to the Galleria in 8 minutes. Check-in isn't until 4 PM and check-out is noon, and a pet costs a non-refundable $75. The newest written reviews we could reach were from 2023, which is old for a hotel described that way.
