Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Of the twelve booking screens in this district, only C. Baldwin's showed a mandatory nightly charge: $22.65, included in the price Hilton displays, with taxes extra. Hilton had no rooms at all for Tuesday, November 17, so that figure comes from the 18th. Hilton's hotel-info page says self-parking isn't available and puts valet at $72. The hotel's own site lists overnight valet at $62 to $72 plus tax and contradicts itself on the daily rate, $32 in one place and $36 in another. Take the $72 and the charge together and a night adds $94.65 before tax, or $283.95 over three. At 12 minutes, the walk to Jones Plaza is the longest of the twelve, and the complimentary house car helps there: it does drop-offs within two miles of downtown from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., when one is available. There is no pool. In-room dining runs 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The hotel also has Rosalie Italian Soul and a lobby bar. Dogs pay a non-refundable $150 fee, up to 75 pounds each.
