The Book Direct rate on the November 17 screen listed a gourmet breakfast buffet and in-room snacks and drinks in its description, and the buffet is served on the mezzanine from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. No hotel in the district is closer to Jones Hall: the Lancaster, an independent, is 102 meters by the routed walk from Jones Plaza outside it, about a minute on foot. Its rate details itemized the night as the room price plus 17 percent tax, which is Houston's full hotel tax, and nothing else. Rooms start at 238 square feet in the Petite King, and the suites run 750 to 1,270. The hotel holds more than 200 works of contemporary art. Its fitness room has Peloton bikes, and guests get a complimentary pass to a nearby fitness center. Weekend brunch is at Cultivated F+B. The car is the one cost you can't see from home. The site says overnight valet runs 24 hours "for a daily fee" and prints no dollar amount on any page we read, and it lists no self-parking.
