Hyatt Place has a pool that guests found clean and comfortably warm, and a front desk that will book your airport transfer when you check in. Breakfast is generally liked, and the mall-side location has a large supermarket across the road. Hyatt's booking screen for November 11 showed no fee line, and Hyatt's parking page lists self-parking on site as free. Anything past the mall means driving: the Gaylord Texan is 45 minutes on foot, and reviews put historic downtown Grapevine a few miles off. A free shuttle runs to DFW, about a 10-minute drive, until around 11 p.m., by the reviews. Some guests had problems with it. Ask before you plan your flight around it. The most repeated complaint is a loud room air conditioner. The facilities read as dated, with slow lifts and a hot-water problem in the reports. Arrival goes wrong sometimes too, with nobody at reception in one account and a billing dispute in another.
