Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Reviews of the Hilton Garden Inn at Silverlake Crossing praise its free DFW shuttle and rooms they call spotless, and staff come across as friendly. There wasn't much review text we could read, so treat the praise as a lead. The shuttle splits opinion: some found it prompt, and summaries of other reviews mention a long wait for pickup and an unanswered email about how to use it. Outside the airport run you'll want a car, with the Gaylord Texan 38 minutes away on foot, and Hilton's page for the hotel lists self-parking as complimentary, with no valet. Breakfast is described as limited and pricey. Hilton's booking screen for Thursday, November 5, read on October 27, showed six rooms, each rate reading "Price includes 0.65% mandatory charge per stay, but excludes taxes and government charges", and the calendar named the charge as a Texas Recovery Fee. November 11 and 18 showed no rooms at all.
