Bass Pro and Grapevine Mills are next door to this Embassy Suites, and the free airport shuttle stops at 10:30 p.m., by one review, which leaves a late arrival calling ahead or booking a ride share. Past those two neighbors everything is a drive, the Gaylord Texan included at 40 minutes on foot. Reviews come back again and again to the free hot buffet at breakfast, with variety and cooked-to-order items, and a family that eats it has one fewer meal to pay for. By those accounts the suites are large with comfortable beds, and the front desk is friendly. Hilton's booking screen for November 11 showed a 0.98% mandatory charge per stay, the Texas Recovery Fee, inside every rate, with taxes extra. Self-parking costs $20 a day, per Hilton's page for the hotel, with no valet. Stays vary: one report had noise from housekeeping, and another had no hot water for more than eight hours. Reviews say rooms have no phone, and service requests go through a QR code.
