Noise is what guests mention most at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco, from Chestnut Street traffic and sirens and from the rooftop lounge, whose bass reaches the upper floors on Friday and Saturday nights. On a weekend, ask for the eighth floor or lower. At 433 Chestnut Street it is 4 minutes on foot from Independence Hall, closer than any of the other nine hotels here. Pets of any size or breed stay at no charge. There are 268 rooms and two restaurants, and the free fitness center never closes. Valet is $61 plus tax a night with in and out privileges, $122 plus tax for two nights, and self-parking is limited to accessible spaces. The booking screen for 17 November 2026 showed no hotel fee. Its 0.75% Tourism Fee is Philadelphia's hospitality levy rather than a charge from the hotel, and with City Tax 8.5% and State Tax 7% it makes 16.25% in all on top of the rate.
