You book the Chicago Athletic Association for the building and the bars. The building dates from the 1890s, with Cindy's rooftop bar up top and a Topgolf Swing Suite on the ground floor. Entry-level rooms are small, and reviews describe thin walls that let in street noise, early garbage trucks included. The Game Room sometimes closes for private events, so check before you plan a night around it. Hyatt's booking screen lists a destination fee of $31.96 per room per night, subject to change, with tax on top. Parking is valet only, $84 a night per vehicle with unlimited in and out, and the valet is at the hotel's Madison Street entrance, 71 East Madison, not the Michigan Avenue doors. A two-night weekend with a car carries $231.92 in fee and valet before the room, $115.96 a night. Cloud Gate is a 4-minute walk, the shortest of any Loop hotel we list.
