Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Of the 11 Midtown hotels that publish a parking rate, Hyatt Centric Midtown Atlanta charges the least by the day: $32 to self-park on the 9th floor of the adjacent 999 garage, with unlimited in-and-out. That deck is uncovered. It has no elevator, and an oversized vehicle (6'6" and over) is $75 overnight. Five nights of self-parking come to $160, with tax not stated. Valet is $42 with unlimited in-and-out too, but it runs only 6 AM to midnight Sunday to Thursday, and to 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. The hotel was Hyatt Midtown Atlanta until a 2018 rebrand. It sits at Peachtree and 10th Street, which makes the Woodruff Arts Center a 15-minute walk, the second-longest of the twelve, after Twelve Midtown. Hyatt's November 17 screen listed 14 nightly rates and no destination fee, and a banner on it said the hotel is cash free. Most of the noise complaints come from guests in connecting or street-side rooms, about sound through the adjoining walls. Rooms redesigned in 2018 have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Piedmont Park or downtown.
