Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
A 2% Historical Preservation Fee makes the Candler the only hotel here whose booking screen carried a fee. On Hilton's screen for November 17, 2026, a banner lists it as a Daily Mandatory Charge, and the rate line says the price includes a 2.00% mandatory charge per stay but excludes taxes. The fee is already in the number you see. Tax lands on top. Because it's a percentage, the screen gives no dollar amount, and a pricier room or a longer stay pays more of it. The building on Peachtree Street is historic, and it's 2 minutes on foot from the MARTA station. Staff come up by name in reviews. Rooms are clean. The dining and the downtown location get good notes too. A $75 non-refundable fee covers a pet up to 75 pounds. Self-parking is not available, and Hilton's hotel page lists valet at $55 without saying whether that's per day or per night. That $55 isn't in the price Hilton shows, and neither is the 16.9% room tax or Georgia's $5 a night fee.
