Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Two hotels share one building on the block between 13th and 14th Streets, and the AC Hotel has the 14th Street side, with 133 rooms and its own street entrance, 9 minutes on foot from the Woodruff Arts Center. Moxy is next door with a separate entrance. Upstairs is High Note, a rooftop level with a pool, cabanas, a bar, a fitness center and meeting space. The AC is the quieter brand of the pair, as Marriott positions it, but Moxy's guests use the same rooftop pool. For a work trip near the arts district, it is the half of the building to sleep in. Marriott's booking screen for Tuesday, November 17, 2026 listed no standard rooms at all. On the December 1 screen, rooms came with no Destination Fee line. On-site self-parking is $55 a day, $19 more than at Twelve Midtown, and Marriott doesn't say whether tax is added. Check-out is noon, an hour later than at the Starling or Hampton.
