Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Moxy St. Pete has a bar on the ground floor and two more on the roof, where the Sip N Dip pool bar serves the pool and Sparrow runs as a separate lounge. Bar Moxy, downstairs, offers guests a complimentary Got Moxy cocktail. The rooftop pool is what guests bring up most, along with walking out the front door to Central Avenue's restaurants and coffee shops. One guest on the fifth floor could hear the ground-floor bar. Another, on the top floor, had live music from the roof overhead until 1am. Noise reaches the rooms from below and from above, so asking for a high or low floor does not fix it. Rooms are new but compact, with little space to open a suitcase or work at a desk. Parking is valet only at $40 a day. The operator lists no self-park option, and guests count the valet charge plus tip as a real addition to the bill. The hotel's page publishes no resort fee. Pets up to 30 pounds are allowed at $50 a night each, capped at $150 per pet per stay. Guests who came for the rooftop and the bar scene, and spent little time in the room, went home happy. Anyone who needs an early night or a quiet desk will be happier a few blocks off Central.

Does Moxy St. Petersburg Downtown charge a resort fee?
None is published. The hotel's own Marriott page lists no resort or destination fee; the only nightly extras it names are valet parking and the pet fee.
How much is parking at Moxy St. Pete?
$40 a day, and it is valet only. The hotel lists no self-park option, and guests say to budget for the valet tip on top.
Is Moxy St. Petersburg Downtown noisy?
It can be. The hotel has a ground-floor bar and bars on the roof, and guests report hearing the lobby bar on the fifth floor and rooftop live music on the top floor until 1am, so asking for a high or low floor does not reliably help.
What time is check-in?
4:00 pm, with check-out at 11:00 am. The hotel offers digital check-in and a mobile key.
Is Moxy St. Pete pet-friendly?
Yes, for up to two pets of 30 lbs or less. The fee is $50 per pet per night, non-refundable, capped at $150 per pet for the stay.
Does the hotel include breakfast?
No. The hotel says it does not offer free breakfast, though Rose's Coffee Bar is on site for coffee.
