Beach Haven is the one you book for the charm. It is a 1949 cottage resort that has been lovingly restored: eighteen little pink cottages with teal fridges and old-Florida details, sitting right on the sand with free parking out front. If your idea of a beach trip is a design-forward, Instagrammable retro hideaway, this is the most character on the beach. Set expectations on a couple of things, though. First, the reimagining moved it upmarket: these are boutique cottages at boutique prices now, well above the budget motel the address used to be. You are paying for the vibe and the location, and there is no big pool complex or activity roster. Second, it is small, so it books out early, and the on-site grill is still out of service from the 2024 hurricanes with no firm return date. Who it suits: couples and solo travelers who want charm, quiet, and a genuine old-Florida cottage feel steps from the water, and who would happily trade a resort's amenities for character. If you want the room itself to be part of the memory, Beach Haven delivers that better than anywhere on the beach.

Is Beach Haven a budget motel?
Not anymore. It was reimagined from a 1949 motor court into a boutique retro-cottage resort, so the charm is way up and so is the price. You are paying for the design and the beachfront location, so go in expecting boutique rates.
What are the rooms like at Beach Haven?
They are restored 1949 cottages and suites, heavy on old-Florida character, teal fridges and pastel details and all. Charming and comfortable, though on the cozy side and light on resort amenities. It is about the character and the beach more than pools and programming.
Is Beach Haven fully open after the 2024 hurricanes?
The cottages and beach are open, but the on-site grill has been out of service since Hurricanes Helene and Milton, with no firm reopening date yet. Worth confirming any specific amenity you care about before you book.
Is parking free at Beach Haven?
Yes, free private parking on site, right by the cottages. On this stretch of beach that is worth real money, since the big resorts down the road charge daily for self-parking and more again for valet.
