The location is what people actually rate here. You're on the sand on Millionaire's Row in Mid-Beach, with two oceanfront pools, a private beach with cabana seating, and staff who draw consistent praise. Comfort holds up well too. Value is the soft spot, and the reason isn't mysterious. Every rate carries a mandatory $35 per night resort charge plus tax, and it buys two beach chairs and towels, a two-hour bike rental, 20 minutes of non-motorized water sports, two water bottles, and 10% off dinner. Facilities are the other weaker category, and standard rooms are 376 square feet, which is compact for a property with "resort" in its name. The building opened in 1951 and no renovation year is published. Driving changes the math again. There's no self-parking, so overnight valet runs $54 ($62 oversized), putting $89 a night on the bill before tax and before the room. This works for couples and adult travelers (check-in age is 21) who want a quiet beachfront base and are fine driving to Lincoln Road, a few miles south. Guests expecting boutique-tier facilities for the price are the ones who come away disappointed.

How far is the beach, and can I walk to South Beach?

You're already on the beach. The hotel sits directly on the sand at 6261 Collins Avenue with its own private beach, cabana seating, and two oceanfront pools. Walking to South Beach is a different story: Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive are a few miles south, so plan on a car or a rideshare for dinner and nightlife down there.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM, with a minimum check-in age of 21. Watch the departure rules: staying past 11:00 AM without arranging it first is billed at 50% of the day's rate, and past 5:00 PM at 100%. Leaving early without honoring your booked nights costs one night's room plus tax.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs and cats are both welcome, up to two pets per room. The pet fee is non-refundable: $75 for stays of one to four nights, $125 for five nights or more. Service animals are always welcome and are noted automatically when your reservation is submitted.
