Tiny rooms in a social SoHo building, where the staff win guests over and the rooftop bar keeps the top floors awake on weekends.

Eight of the ten hotels we cover here add a nightly fee of $35 to $51, and the cheapest place we found to leave a car is a $65 self-park space. All ten sit inside the congestion toll zone and close to a train, which makes the car the easiest of those costs to drop.

No city or district source publishes a weekday-against-weekend split for these hotels, so be wary of any rule about cheap Sundays. What does exist is quarterly. The Downtown Alliance counts 42 hotels and 8,100 rooms south of Chambers Street, and only two of our ten, the Conrad and the Beekman, sit inside that line. Those 42 ran 86 percent full in the first quarter of 2026 and 88 percent in the second. Before booking, look at the Javits Center calendar in Midtown. The Greater New York Dental Meeting takes Sunday to Tuesday, November 29 to December 1, and NRF the same days of the week on January 10 to 12, 2027.
In 2025 a downtown room in the first quarter averaged 40 percent less a night than in the fourth, when occupancy hit a record 90 percent. Most of that gap closed. The first quarter of 2026 came in 44 percent above the year before and about 14 percent under that record fourth quarter. NYC Hotel Week is still the winter sale to watch. It ran January 2 to February 12 in 2026 and comes back in 2027, dates not yet set. The last three months of the year are the dear stretch. The Marathon is Sunday, November 1, and the 100th Macy's parade is on Thanksgiving, November 26. The Tribeca Festival, which is based down here, runs June 3 to 12, 2027.
Two nights at the Dominick with a car in its valet add $332 to the room before tax: $102 in destination fees and $230 in parking. The same two nights at Arlo SoHo, with the car in the LAZ garage the hotel sends guests to, add $204. Nearly every parking price on our list comes with no in-and-out, so taking the car out for a day means paying to park it again. Driving in also costs the congestion toll, $9 at peak with E-ZPass or $2.25 overnight, charged once a day. Leave the car at home and a week of subway rides on one card or phone tops out at $35. The Bowery Hotel's booking screen, read for a November night, added taxes and nothing else, and the Conrad publishes no fee either way.
Most do. Eight of the ten we cover publish one: $51 a night plus tax at the Dominick, $45.89 at the Beekman, $45 plus tax at Hotel Hugo and at the Hotel on Rivington, $39.95 plus tax at the Soho Grand and the Roxy, $37 plus tax at Arlo SoHo and $35 plus tax at 11 Howard. The name varies (amenity, urban, facility or destination fee) but each is a nightly charge per room. Arlo SoHo's and Hotel Hugo's booking screens fold the fee into the nightly rate without showing it as a dollar line. The Bowery Hotel's booking screen added taxes and nothing else. The Conrad publishes no fee either way, which is not proof it has none.
$65 a day is the cheapest we found. The Conrad's self-park is $65 per 24 hours against $90 for valet, or $105 oversize. Arlo SoHo has no valet and sends guests to the LAZ garage at 294 Hudson Street, $65 for a sedan and $75 for an SUV. Valet is $95 at the Beekman ($110 for an SUV), $105 at 11 Howard and $115 at the Dominick ($125 for an SUV or oversized car). The Soho Grand quotes a typical $75 to $85 and the Roxy $85 to $95. Hotel Hugo names a garage, City Parking at 122 Varick Street, but no price. The Hotel on Rivington has no on-site parking and lists two garages on Essex Street, also unpriced, and the Bowery Hotel publishes nothing about parking.
The AirTrain and the E train, $11.75 for most riders including the AirTrain fare. Ride the AirTrain to Jamaica, then take the E from Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport to World Trade Center. The LIRR costs $16 at peak or $14 off-peak, AirTrain included, but it runs to Penn Station or Grand Central, so you still need the subway downtown. From LaGuardia, the free Q70 bus runs nonstop to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av, where the E is a $3 ride. From Newark, take the AirTrain and an NJ Transit train to Newark Penn, then PATH to World Trade Center. The PATH leg is $3.25. Since September 1, 2026 PATH takes no MetroCards, and it has never taken the MTA's OMNY card, so tap a contactless bank card or phone.
Yes. Every hotel we cover in Lower Manhattan is on a local street south of 60th Street, inside the Congestion Relief Zone. With E-ZPass a car pays $9 from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends, and $2.25 overnight, charged once per day. Coming in through the Holland or Hugh L. Carey tunnel at peak earns a credit of up to $3, but there is no credit overnight. A taxi adds $0.75 a trip and an app rideshare $1.50.
January through March, by less than they used to be. In 2025 the first quarter averaged 40 percent less a night than the last three months of the year, by the Downtown Alliance's count. The first quarter of 2026 came in 44 percent above 2025's and about 14 percent under that record fourth quarter, at 86 percent full. NYC Hotel Week is the winter sale to look for; it ran January 2 to February 12 in 2026 and returns in 2027 on dates not yet announced. The Alliance only counts hotels south of Chambers Street, which takes in two of our ten, so SoHo and the Lower East Side may not track it exactly.
No. The furthest of our hotels from a subway station is the Conrad, 0.27 miles in a straight line from the 1 train at WTC Cortlandt, and most are closer. Fulton Street alone has the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J and Z. A ride is $3, and a week of rides on the same card or phone tops out at $35, less than a single night in the cheapest garage on our list. The Staten Island Ferry from Whitehall, at the tip of the island, is free and runs around the clock, and NYC Ferry is $4 a ride from Wall Street/Pier 11.
