Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

A converted brick incinerator at 3100 South Street NW, The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown has a fireplace in the lobby and modern art against old brick. The rooms follow the structure that was already there, and some run small. It is 4 minutes' walk from M and Wisconsin. The closest Metro station is Foggy Bottom-GWU, a 17-minute walk. Marriott's screen for November 17, 2026 had no fee line, so a driver's only add-on is valet at $75 a day plus tax, on top of the room and its 15.95% tax. No self-parking is listed. You have to be 21 to check in. Rooms open at 4 PM, and check-out is 11 AM. One dog or cat up to 25 pounds can come along for $165 a stay. Coffee and tea in the lobby are free. It rents bicycles and has a spa. The EV charging station is subject to availability, and the hotel runs no airport shuttle.
