The block Hotel Saint Augustine sits on is residential, near the Menil campus, and it is 39 minutes on foot from Midtown Park, the longest walk of the five. Expect a car or a rideshare. Valet is $49 a night plus tax per the hotel's FAQ, which also says street parking nearby is ample and there's no EV charging. Hyatt's booking screen for 17 November listed rooms and suites with no destination fee paragraph, and the room carries Houston's 17 percent hotel tax. Three nights of valet come to $147 plus tax. The hotel has 71 rooms and suites. The Perseid restaurant serves dinner daily until 10 p.m., and a circular courtyard pool is open from sunrise to sunset. There is no gym and no spa. The reservation holder has to be 21 with valid ID, though children of all ages are allowed. At check-in the hotel authorizes $100 a night for incidentals on top of the full room and tax, and that hold can show on your card for up to two weeks after you leave.
