Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Two of Hotel Crescent Court's own packages, Cyber Savings and Red River Retreat, waive the $40 nightly destination fee. On any other rate every room pays it, plus tax, whether or not you use what it covers: the spa facilities and the pool, the gym, Wi-Fi, lobby coffee and group classes. The booking screen we read for November 18 to 20, 2026 added a 2% Dallas Tourism Public Improvement Fee and a 1% State Cost-Recovery Fee, and a Credit Card Convenience Fee of $51.84 landed on the two nights. The hotel's policy page puts that card fee at 3% of all charges, so valet and dining pay it too, and the three-night totals that follow leave it out. Bring a car and overnight valet adds $70 plus tax a night, with in and out privileges, which puts three nights of fee and valet at $330 plus tax. Self-parking through an independent provider is hourly, capped at $25 a night, with no in and out, which brings three nights to $195 before tax. Valet and dining prices strike guests as high. The front desk comes across as inconsistent, and some rooms read as older. You have to be 21 to reserve a room.
