Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Fairmont Dallas is the big, old-school choice in this group: 545 rooms, a Junior Olympic-size pool on a terrace, a Gold floor with its own lounge, and a restaurant and bar on site. Reviews call the decor and lighting dated and list maintenance gaps, among them weak water pressure and broken ice machines. A slippery pool deck has been reported too. The hotel changed hands in 2025. Fairmont sends bookings to Accor's site, where each room is listed as "Taxes and fees included" with no breakdown, so we could not see what fees sit inside the price. Valet is $60 plus tax a night with unlimited in and out, $180 plus tax over three nights, and charging an electric car is $18 a full charge for valet guests. Wi-Fi starts at $14 plus tax a day and is waived for members. The hotel page on fairmont.com lists valet at $56 and the pet fee at $75, where the guest-services page says $60 and $100.
