Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
Between the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University, The Study has 212 rooms and its own restaurant, CO-OP, open 7 AM to 10 PM daily. 30th Street Station is a 10-minute walk. Kobrick coffee is free in the Living Room from 6 to 10 AM, and the third-floor fitness center opens 24 hours on your room key. The booking screen for November 17, 2026 showed no hotel fee. Three rooms each totaled exactly 16.37% over the nightly price, and a flat fee would have moved that percentage from room to room, so tax is the only addition. The hotel's amenities and policy pages list no destination or amenity fee either. It lists no self-parking, so driving means valet: $58 a night with tax included, per its amenities page, with unlimited in-and-out privileges. A car for three nights comes to $174. Pets are welcome at $75 each per stay, and smoking in a room draws a $500 cleaning fee.
