Reviewers praise The Blackstone's ornate lobby and Beaux-Arts building, and its self-park is someone else's garage: the Hilton Chicago's, at 99 East Balbo Avenue, $72 a night charged to your room, in and out with the ticket validated at the Blackstone's front desk. Tickets from other garages aren't validated. The hotel's own valet is $82 a night and has an overnight attendant only on Friday and Saturday. Monday to Thursday it runs 6 a.m. to midnight and Sunday 7 a.m. to midnight, so late arrivals and early departures need planning. A $25 destination fee is already inside the price on Marriott's booking screen, and tax comes on top. Self-park and the fee come to $97 a night, $194 for two nights. A $150 incidental hold may also go on your card during the stay. It's released at check-out and can take up to 10 business days to come back. Reviews flag Michigan Avenue street noise, so ask for a higher floor. There is no room service.
