Our take
By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer
The Westin Peachtree Plaza is a round, 73-story tower with 1,073 rooms, and its lower floors look at neighboring buildings, so the room to book is a high one. The elevators are the most common complaint, slow and crowded, and noise from the shaft and hallways reaches rooms near the core, which is worth raising when you check in. Decor and fixtures read as dated in some rooms, while the Heavenly Beds get consistent praise. No destination fee showed on Marriott's screen. Marriott's hotel page lists self-parking and valet at the same $65 a day, so parking yourself saves nothing. Two nights with the car is $130. Pets up to 50 pounds are allowed, and Peachtree Center station is 238 meters away, 3 minutes on foot. Portman Hospitality bought the tower from Marriott in 2026 and plans to renovate rooms and meeting space before Super Bowl LXII in 2028. Marriott still manages it. No timeline has been given, and room condition and availability could change once the work starts.
