Bayview Plaza sits on the bay side of Gulf Boulevard, seven suites facing Boca Ciega Bay with a heated pool on a bayside sundeck and a private fishing pier where dolphins and manatees are regular company through the year. The beach is a road crossing away. The resort fee covers use of all three of the family's resorts, including the beachfront Plaza Beach about 100 yards north, and check-in happens over there at 4506 Gulf Blvd, one block north, which catches people out when they pull up to 4321 with luggage. Every suite has a kitchen with a stove, microwave and full-size refrigerator, and many have a balcony over the water. Reviews single out the staff and the location, then circle the same gripes. A/C units loud enough that one guest said they barely slept, traffic noise off Gulf Blvd, beds on the small side, and a sofa bed people call thin. The operator charges a daily resort fee of $39 plus tax on all reservations, dropping to $18 plus tax when you book direct with the hotel, and one self-parking space per room is one of the things that fee buys. A second vehicle runs $45 a night. Pets are $45 per pet per night plus a refundable $50 cash deposit, two maximum under 50 pounds. Cancel inside seven days and the deposit is forfeited. It suits a couple or small family who want water views, a kitchen and a fishing rod, and who do not mind the walk to the sand.

4pm, at the Plaza Beach Hotel office at 4506 Gulf Blvd, one block north of your building. Check-out is 11am, and whoever checks in has to be 25 or older.
Is parking free at Bayview Plaza?
No. One space per room comes bundled into the mandatory resort fee, so you pay for it whether you drive or not. A second vehicle is $45 a night.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. It runs $45 per pet per night plus tax, two pets maximum with a 50 pound weight limit, plus a refundable $50 cash deposit at check-in.
Do the suites have kitchens?
