Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

Royal Palm reopened on July 22, 2026 after a full property renovation that redid all 404 rooms. The several thousand guest reviews attached to this hotel were written about the building before that work, so they describe rooms, finishes and service that have since been replaced. Our full write-up is still in progress. We'll publish it once enough post-reopening reviews exist to read a real pattern, probably three to six months out. The costs are already confirmed with the operator: a $49 nightly resort fee and $52 a day for parking, self or valet. That's $101 a night on top of whatever room rate you're quoted.

Royal Palm South Beach Miami, a Tribute Portfolio Resort FAQ

Does Royal Palm South Beach charge a resort fee?

Yes, $49 per room per night. It covers beach loungers and towels for two, a daily 2-hour bike rental for two, a daily 1-hour yoga class for two, enhanced high-speed Wi-Fi and a signature luggage tag for the stay. Bonvoy Gold Elite members and above also get a daily signature cocktail for two.

How much is parking at Royal Palm South Beach?

$52 a day, self-park or valet, both priced the same. The operator publishes a single daily rate for each and lists no separate day-guest or non-overnight rate, so budget $52 whichever way you leave the car.

How far is the beach?

It's a beachfront property, so you walk out to the sand. The resort fee includes daily loungers and towels for two on the hotel's beach section.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. The minimum check-in age is 21.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, up to two pets per room, with a non-refundable $100 pet fee per stay. The operator's published maximum pet weight shows as 0.0 lbs on both the page and its structured data, which reads as a template placeholder rather than a real cap, so confirm your dog's weight directly before you book.

Is Royal Palm South Beach worth booking right now?

That depends on how much you lean on reviews. The hotel reopened July 22, 2026 after a renovation of all 404 rooms, so the large review history online was written about the earlier building and tells you little about the current one. If the beachfront Collins Avenue location is the draw and you're comfortable being an early guest at a just-relaunched resort, it's a reasonable last-minute call. Budget $101 a night in resort fee and parking on top of the rate.
