Hotel Indigo puts you on Francisco Street, about five minutes on foot from L.A. Live and seven from Crypto.com Arena. Walk to the game. The car is what makes this hotel expensive: valet is the only parking, $57 a night plus tax with in-and-out, and more for a larger vehicle. Two more lines turn up on IHG's rate screen for every night, a $35 Daily Destination Fee plus $5.67 tax and a separate $8 Los Angeles County Workforce Fee plus $1.30 tax. Those come to $49.97 a night with their tax. Put valet on top and you're $106.97 over the room rate before parking tax or room tax. The destination fee does include two tickets for the Original Hollywood Sign Tour, and 20% off the hotel's own food and drink, which adds up if you eat at Metropole, off the lobby. Staff are what guests praise. The rooms draw less affection: a Points Guy reviewer in 2019 found his far less chic than the hotel's photos and the wall-mounted air conditioner loud. The heated pool on the fourth floor is open year-round.
