Our take

By Matt Spaulding, Founder and writer

The pool at Pixar Place Hotel is on a third-floor deck, and on some nights you can watch the fireworks from it. Disney says select nights and doesn't say which ones, so count a show from the water as a bonus. Small Bytes sells snacks and sandwiches right on the deck. A kid who's finished with the park by mid-afternoon can swim and eat up there, and nobody has to get dressed again. Disney describes the rooms as having Pixar-themed furnishings and artwork made by Pixar Animation Studios, and that design is aimed squarely at children who can quote the films. Great Maple serves brunch and dinner, and its craft cocktails are there for the grown-ups. The Sketch Pad Café does quick service for mornings when you're in a hurry. Self-parking is the only option, at $45 plus tax per night per vehicle, since Disney's parking page puts valet at the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian only. Three nights is $135 plus tax. Oversized vehicles pay $50 plus tax a night. Disney's hotel page mentions no resort or amenity fee, and this hotel's booking screen hasn't been read for one, so check its taxes-and-fees line before you count the room rate as the whole bill.

Pixar Place Hotel is at 1717 S. Disneyland Drive in Anaheim, and Disney books it as one of its own Disneyland Resort hotels. Disney's hotel page doesn't give a walking time to the park gates, so check a map before you plan on walking. All three places to eat are inside the building.

$45 plus tax per night per vehicle for self-parking, which is the only option here. Disney's parking page puts valet at the Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian only. Oversized vehicles pay $50 plus tax a night.

Can you see the fireworks from Pixar Place Hotel?

Yes, on select nights, from the pool deck on the third floor. Disney doesn't say which nights, so don't build the evening around it.

In the building. Great Maple Modern American Eatery serves brunch and dinner, with craft cocktails. The Sketch Pad Café is quick service, and Small Bytes sells snacks and sandwiches on the pool deck.

What time is check-in at Pixar Place Hotel?
